A Voice in the Wilderness In Defense of "Mere Conservatism"

1 million people protest big government

RonaldReagan_TedKennedy-785434Estimates vary, but some reports have the number at 1 million people who showed up for protests in Washington D.C. on Satuday.  They came to protest the Democrats' agenda of bigger government, higher taxes, and the treatment those who have shown up to other such events (i.e. townhall meetings, Tea Party rallies, etc.) have recieved from the media and even the White House.

This movement is real and it is growing.  There are real ideas and values and principles being promoted here, no matter how badly the press want to try and make this a race issue.

What is “Mere Conservatism”?

The basic ideas, ideals, and values that generally define and characterize the central tenets of what today might be termed "modern conservative thought."

We believe that a proper understanding of history, economics, and theology leads to certain conclusions. Many of these are the same conclusions our Founding Fathers arrived at in constructing a "more perfect union."

All ideas and opinions are welcome; not all are correct.
