A Voice in the Wilderness In Defense of "Mere Conservatism"

“Green Czar” Jones Out

main-Van-JonesThe Associated Press is reporting the resignation of President Obama's "Green Czar" Van Jones today.  Probably the smart move, seeing how as Jones is on record as calling himself a communist, calling Republicans "bleep-holes", and supporting a group that believes President Bush was "in" on 9/11.

The thing that drives me nuts about politics, on both sides of the aisle, is that when someone's own words and actions come back to haunt them, as they most certainly did with Jones, no one is ever willing to stand by those own words or actions.  Van Jones, like many associates of the president's, is a radical Leftist.  Why not embrace that?  I am proud to be a staunch conservative, and am proud of the people I read and ideologically associate with...people like Dennis Prager, Michael Medved, Thomas Sowell, and Milton Friedman.

Does this sound like a normal guy, let alone someone who should be advising our Commander-in-Chief?  How many radical Leftists do you know or associate with?  This isn't normal people, and the fact that it isn't normal has NOTHING to do with the fact that he is black.

Here is the video that blew the whistle on this entire situation and likely led to Jones' resignation.

What is “Mere Conservatism”?

The basic ideas, ideals, and values that generally define and characterize the central tenets of what today might be termed "modern conservative thought."

We believe that a proper understanding of history, economics, and theology leads to certain conclusions. Many of these are the same conclusions our Founding Fathers arrived at in constructing a "more perfect union."

All ideas and opinions are welcome; not all are correct.
