Pro-life advocate murdered in Michigan

art.jim.pouillon.courtesyA man named Jim Pouillon (pictured left) from Owosso, MI was shot and killed yesterday morning.  Mr. Pouillon's "crime" that motivated the slaying?  He was protesting (with a very dangerous cardboard sign) the murder of some 40 million babies since 1973's Roe v. Wade Supreme Court Decision.  The killer, one Harlan James Drake, is a disgruntled pro-choice advocate who was tired of seeing Jim Pouillon's signs all around town.

Seems rational to me.

Notice the staggering lack of coverage on this story in the mainstream media.  We (rightly) heard for weeks and weeks about the nut in Kansas who shot the abortion doctor (Tiller) earlier the summer.  When on those rarest of occasions a pro-life wack-job shoots an abortion doctor, EVERY leading evangelical and pro-life spokesperson denounces the heinous acts.  We'll see what Planned Parenthood has to say about this, or if the media will even try and link pro-choice and pro-abortion supporters (like the entire Obama administration, cabinet, and litany of Czar's) with Drake's actions in Owosso this week.

I don't blame all pro-choicers for this murder...just one, and hope that he sees full justice.  I do blame the media for their slanted view on all stories related to abortion.

  1. I’ve also noticed, but by no means am I surprised, by the shocking lack of coverage of this incident.

I just told Drew it may be you and me leading a charge on D.C.

So get ready to take your pants off and start the revolution.

  2. there shouldn’t be a “by” after “am I surprised”.

What is “Mere Conservatism”?

The basic ideas, ideals, and values that generally define and characterize the central tenets of what today might be termed "modern conservative thought."

We believe that a proper understanding of history, economics, and theology leads to certain conclusions. Many of these are the same conclusions our Founding Fathers arrived at in constructing a "more perfect union."

All ideas and opinions are welcome; not all are correct.
