What is “Mere Conservatism”?
The basic ideas, ideals, and values that generally define and characterize the central tenets of what today might be termed "modern conservative thought."
We believe that a proper understanding of history, economics, and theology leads to certain conclusions. Many of these are the same conclusions our Founding Fathers arrived at in constructing a "more perfect union."
All ideas and opinions are welcome; not all are correct.

I love this clip, and loved that Krauthammer stopped to take a sip of his drink. There are certain names that everyone, especially conservatives, ought to know. Charles Krauthammer is such a name. His weekly column is a never-ending source of insight and wisdom. Everyone always acts like conservatives are either rich, greedy jerks, or hayseeds from Wasilla with funny accents. We absolutely have top-of-the-line intellectuals on our side and we need to do a better job of recognizing them and learning from them.
