A Voice in the Wilderness In Defense of "Mere Conservatism"

Vision of the Anointed

Thomas Sowell might be the wisest commentator alive today.  I recently finished one of his insightful books, Vision of the Anointed, and would highly recommend it to everyone reading this blog.

I'll be commenting more on the book in coming weeks, but I figured who better than Dr. Sowell himself to explain what the text is all about.

  1. This convinced me to buy the book, RJ. Thanks for posting it. Looks like you’ve been getting some more traffic lately. I hope people will start posting more and starting discussions. Keep up the great work!

What is “Mere Conservatism”?

The basic ideas, ideals, and values that generally define and characterize the central tenets of what today might be termed "modern conservative thought."

We believe that a proper understanding of history, economics, and theology leads to certain conclusions. Many of these are the same conclusions our Founding Fathers arrived at in constructing a "more perfect union."

All ideas and opinions are welcome; not all are correct.
