A Voice in the Wilderness In Defense of "Mere Conservatism"

To Shuffle or Not To Shuffle

It may be presumptuous, and as a fan of Chicago sports teams for more than 20 years I ought to know better, but in honor of the big Bears-Packers game today I thought I'd post one of the greatest music videos in human history.

Go blog or go home.

  1. That was an atrocious performance by my Bears yesterday. Pittsburgh is winning it all again.

…although, I probably should root for the Packers to ensure they lose.

  2. I was/am a Bears fan but I have also become a Broncos Fan. The Broncos got rid of Cutler. Since then Cutler has proven he can be a good QB–but I never thought he would hold up under the tremendous pressure it takes to win a Super Bowl even before he was traded. He is still young-so who knows for sure? Time will tell whether he has what it takes or is a flash in the pan.

I tend to think that the best teams did make it to the Super Bowl this year. I will be routing for the Steelers just because I dislike the Packers more. Rodgers is most likely the best QB in this game but it takes a team to win it all. So we will see.
    Go Steelers!

What is “Mere Conservatism”?

The basic ideas, ideals, and values that generally define and characterize the central tenets of what today might be termed "modern conservative thought."

We believe that a proper understanding of history, economics, and theology leads to certain conclusions. Many of these are the same conclusions our Founding Fathers arrived at in constructing a "more perfect union."

All ideas and opinions are welcome; not all are correct.
