Picks to Click On: What I Read/Wrote This Week
Here are some things that I either wrote myself, or read during the week (and liked enough to encourage you to do the same):
- My review of the new Spielberg bio-pic Lincoln.
- My review of the new James Bond film Skyfall.
- "Bastiat on My Mind" - a post I put up at the Acton Institute's Power Blog on the importance of reading the works of Frederic Bastiat (note: if you don't know who this is, change that immediately!)
- Owen Strachan's piece at Patheos, "A Post-Election Letter to Young Evangelicals"
- "How the GOP earned it's Date with Destiny" by Mark Steyn (a sobering analysis of the state of the nation after Obama's win)
- The latest column from Dr. Victor Davis Hanson (my favorite historian) "Oh, we forgot to tell you..."
I get it that people are busy and don't have the time/interest to scour through all of the various sites/blogs to find what's worth their while, so I'm going to start offering up a few recommendations each weekend here at A Voice in the Wilderness. Let me know what you think of any of these pieces by leaving something in the Comments section below.
